A guide for new patients.
As a new patient, we understand it can be completely overwhelming and confusing to find the answers you need. We make it our business to look after you with a team that is informed and approachable, ready to help.
-
Your first consultation provides the opportunity for Dr. Khoury to understand your pain and medical history, answer any questions you may have, and discuss the range of treatment options available to you.
A referral is required for your first appointment. This referral can be provided by a GP or a specialist, however, please be aware that specialist referrals are only valid for a 3 month period.
There is no ‘standard’ schedule of visits for our patients. Each care plan is individualised, taking into consideration any pre-existing conditions, concerns that you may have both pre and post surgery and – most importantly – your preferences. We will always see you as often as you need to be seen. We try to be flexible regarding appointment times.
Initial appointments are $330 with a medicare rebate available.Any associated surgery costs will be discussed with our patient coordinators at the time of booking surgery.
-
If you have questions or concerns between any of your visits, either pre or post-surgery please call our patient care team, during business hours and we will get back to you by phone or by email.
If you feel you need an urgent opinion or care after hours, Dr. Khoury is contactable using the after hours service. -
We provide an after-hours private service for our patients, offering additional care and peace of mind for patients and their families making care accessible, no matter where you are.
-
As a patient of Dr. Khoury’s you will have access to our specialised recovery program, “Post Surgery Plus”. A Program designed and individually tailored for our patients.
You will be cared for post operatively by our Patient Coordinator to assist you with your post operative arrangements and have access to our Private Nurse to ensure a high level of care post surgery, assisting your overall recovery.
